and so i walk
nickel silver claws bounded by my knuckles
digging into the fragile skin between each finger
discomfort is worth assurance and invulnerability

my keys are finding themselves more often
in this position
than in the door lock

Aš irgi svajoju eiti kaip tu.

Rankos krenta lyg sparnai,
Kaklas ištiestas ir akys spindi prieš dangų,
Skruostikauliai pjauna orą,
Klubai banguoja kaip laivai ant subojančios jūros.

Aš irgi svajoju eiti kaip tu..

her voice
was composed of
quiet rain,
tapping on a wine glass,
tender hands plucking a harp,
a steady heartbeat.

but her words
cried of
violent storms,
smashing of the bottles,
crashing cymbals,
heart palpitations.

In solidarity there is silence.
In silence there is serenity.
In serenity there is enlightenment.

haiku #4

i will never stop
trembling at the sound of
the caged bird singing

haiku #3

your body has the

curves that i did not learn in

geometry class.

haiku #2

a child who can reach
the sunflowers in the field
and the sky’s comets
